The Community Inclusive Special School, in Kpando Village, is a school for children of all ages with developmental disabilities. Kofi Targbotor founded the school in 1995 for his daughter and other children in the community who had no education options due to their disabilities. In 2000, the school was recognized by Ghana’s Education Ministry. As of March 2008, there were 54 students and seven teachers at the school.
The grounds of the school include the school building and a
farming area where much of the school's food is grown. The school
is raising funds to one day build a dormitory for students and
purchase a van to help transport students to and from the school
more easily.
