At Ho Farms Project, volunteers can be of help in all aspects
of farming - manual farm labor; building and construction projects
to increase pen capacity for animals; creation and maintenance
of accounting records and spreadsheets; and building inventory
systems. Below are some sample activities:
Rabbit Rearing
- assist livestock attendant in daily feeding and watering
- record keeping
- any other activity deemed necessary for good animal husbandry
Mushroom Farming
- watering
- harvesting
- packaging
- record keeping
Nursery / Tree Plantation
- work with farmers to establish their own plantations, identify tree species to be
planted, and establish the tree nursery
- establish a one-acre moringa demonstration nursery and plantation on the Ho Farms Project land
Ho Farms Project is also interested in developing a solar
energy source, so if you have expertise in this area, the staff
would greatly appreciate your assistance.
