A hundred years from now
it will not matter
what my bank account was,
the sort of house I lived in,
or the kind of car I drove.
But the world may be different
because I was important
in the life of a
CHILD.

Village Volunteers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

100% of your contributions will go directly to the project of your choice, and all fees associated with wiring the funds to the villages are absorbed by Village Volunteers.

There are many ways you can contribute to the sustainable development of a rural village community. Let us know how you would like your donations applied and we are committed to ensuring that it happens. Below are just a few ways you can make a difference.

Sponsor a promising young girl in East Africa to go to college.  $2,000 USD a year for three years can offer hope to a young woman and her community. Any amount can be donated and will be added to The Butterfly Project scholarship fund.

Any amount
Provide a meal for one class of 40 students in rural Kenya. The food is purchased from women farmers who use bio-intensive organic farming methods. To learn more, visit Feed Villages.

$20 USD
Support environment and public health education for village youth by donating to VV's Environment and Public Health Education Project. Through a day-long workshop, village youth learn the hazards of improper disposal of batteries, burning plastics, and other environmental dangers, and community battery collection sites are organized. After completing the series, each youth receives a solar flashlight and mosquito net.

$25 USD
Donate 25 fruit-bearing trees that will have a long-term benefit for families as a source of food and/or income.

Other important ways you can help is by contributing to the operations - supplies, equipment, salaries and maintenance - of existing over-burdened clinics and schools, or by funding much needed new construction or expansion.

Village Volunteers facilitates the placement of volunteers in rural villages to support the goals and objectives of the partner village organizations. Volunteers contribute to the village communities in many ways - helping in clinics, schools, and orphan homes; assisting in agriculture and building projects; providing public health awareness; providing bookkeeping and microfinance guidance; participating in projects that empower girls and women; planting trees with youth; leading children in a theatre projects; conducting research; etc. To read more about why volunteers pay, click here.
