While at Barchando, volunteers have the opportunity to:
» Work in the clinic, located within the host family's compound
(doctors and registered nurses preferred)
» Tutor orphans or teach at the nearby primary and secondary schools
» Share expertise in improving agricultural output or water harvesting and purification methods
» Assist in the construction of local community
huts
» Provide home-based care for those living with HIV/AIDS
» Assist in community education programs (e.g. HIV/AIDS, micro-finance,
nutrition, etc.)
» Participate in weaving and pottery work
