Regardless of your skill level, your contributions in a village are appreciated. Come with an open mind and heart, ready to learn and pitch in where needed.
Village Volunteers offers participants a great deal of flexibility, and many volunteers find that their activities may change from one day to the next.
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to assist in
the day-to-day needs of a community. This could mean...
- working
in a school, clinic, or orphan home
- teaching English or public health awareness
- documenting cultural folklore, customs or
languages
- assisting in agricultural or building projects
- working with an orphan feeding project
- providing IT / computer
skill training
- assisting local women with their micro-enterprises
- spending time in less formal settings with children playing
sports and games
- working with special needs children, their families, and possibly their teachers
