Letter from Joyce Oneko

Dear Friend,

My name is Joyce Oneko and I am one of the founders of Mama na Dada. Mama na Dada is based in a small village called Kunya Village, on the shores of Lake Victoria, in the Western part of Kenya. The nearest city to our village is called Kisumu, which is the third largest city in Kenya. Our village is very beautiful and the community here is very friendly. The people in my community are mostly subsistence farmers and fishermen. Men do fishing, and women do fish retailing. I want to welcome you to Mama na Dada and to Kunya Village and to assure you that you will have a lot of fun and learning while you are with us. At Mama na Dada, we believe that fun-based learning is the most effective way to educate ourselves. On a personal note, I love to meet new people and share ideas and experiences, and I would love to have you come and share yours with us. I look forward to meeting you, and KARIBU SANA!
