Dear Village Volunteers,

Welcome to Sister Freda's Foundation which is situated in the Birunda, Kitale, Trans Nzoia, Rift Valley Province of Kenya. We invite you to spend your time to help the under privileged members of our local community.

We started in 1994 after seeing the inadequate health care, poor nutrition of children and pregnant women, and children’s limited access to education.

Sister Freda’s Foundation started out as a small clinic offering free medical treatment to the local community. It has since grown to include a full hospital, a feeding program, and a pre-school centre, and a new nursing school is now under construction – all with the help of friends.

Thank you for living up to the name Village Volunteers and volunteering to come all the way to Kitale, Kenya to help accomplish my dream of helping the poor and helpless of this part of the world, and assist in giving them back the hope and dignity which they have lost.

We are looking forward to having the chance to work with you.
